استهدفت هذه الدراسة معرفة دور إدارة جامعة الأمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل في تنمية قيم المواطنة والمشارکة المجتمعية لدى الطلبة، وکذلک تحديد ما إذا کانت هناک فروق في قيم المواطنة والمشارکة المجتمعية تعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة (المستوى الدراسي، والجنس  والتخصص). ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تمت الاستعانة بالمنهج الوصفي من خلال استبانة طبقت على عينة قوامها (590 ) من طلبة وطالبات جامعة الأمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج أهمها ارتفاع المستوى العام للمواطنة والمشارکة المجتمعية لدى الطلبة بجامعة الأمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل. کما اتضح أن الولاء للوطن يمثل أعلى قيم المواطنة، يليه الالتزام بمعايير المجتمع، ثم الشعور بالمسؤولية الأخلاقية تجاه المجتمع. ولم توجد فروق جوهرية في مستوى المواطنة بوجه عام تعزى إلى التخصص أوبمعايير المجتمع من الشباب في جامعة الأمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل. کما الجنس أوالمستوى الدراسي، بينما اتضح أن الفتيات أکثر التزاما ً بمعايير المجتمع من الشباب في جامعة الأمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل ، کما أوضحت الدراسة أن الخريجين أکثر التزاما ً بمعايير المجتمع من المستجدين ، ولم توجد فروق دالة تعزي لمتغيرات الدراسة فيما يتعلق بالشعور بالمسؤولية الأخلاقية تجاه المجتمع، وبينت النتائج أيضاً وجود ارتباط إيجابي دال إحصائيا بين الدور الذي تقوم به إدارة الجامعة وبين قيم المواطنة والمشارکة المجتمعية لدى الشباب من الذکور والإناث في جامعة الأمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل.
Abstract:
This study aimed at identifying the role of the administration of Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University in the development of the values ​​of citizenship and community participation among the students, as well as determining whether there are differences in the values ​​of citizenship and community participation due to the study variables (level of study, gender and specialization). To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used through a questionnaire applied to a sample of (590) students and students of Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which is the increase in the general level of citizenship and community participation among students at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University. Loyalty to the homeland also showed the highest values ​​of citizenship, followed by commitment to community standards and a sense of moral responsibility towards society. There were no significant differences in the level of citizenship in general attributed to specialization or community standards of youth at the University of Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal. The study also showed that the graduates are more committed to the community standards than the newcomers, and there were no significant differences in relation to the variables of the study regarding the sense of moral responsibility The results also showed a statistically significant correlation between the role played by the university administration and the values ​​of citizenship and community participation among young males and females in Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University.
